She’s All In won her fourth consecutive race while defending her title in the $50,000 Ladies on the Lawn at Remington Park on Friday night.

The one-mile race for Oklahoma-bred fillies and mares was moved to the main track following last week’s decision to call off turf racing for the remainder of the meet.

She’s All In won by 2 3/4 lengths over Going Okie, and it was another 1 1/4 lengths back in third to Miss Natalie. She’s All In ($3) settled into a stalking position behind Miss Natalie and Miranda Diane, who were prominent through fractions of 24.46 seconds for the opening quarter and 48.41 for the half-mile. Miss Natalie continued to lead through six furlongs in 1:13.06 before being overtaken by She’s All In, who went on to cover the distance on a fast track in 1:38.04.

Glen Murphy rode the winner for Robert Zoellner and trainer Donnie Von Hemel.

She’s All In had won the $100,000 River Cities at Louisiana Downs in September and an allowance and the $128,000 Oklahoma Classics Distaff at Remington in October leading up to the Ladies on the Lawn. She has now won 10 of 19 starts and $423,122.

She’s All In will likely run next during the Oaklawn Park meet that opens in January, according to Von Hemel.

She’s All In Continues Distaff Winning Streak Another Oklahoma Classics night… another win in the $128,900 Distaff presented by the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma for She’s All In. The talented 5-year-old mare who routinely wins in open company, returned to her Oklahoma stomping grounds to win the Distaff for the third consecutive year.
Owned by Robert Zoellner of Tulsa, Okla. and trained by Donnie Von Hemel, She’s All In cruised to an easy seven-length win in the Distaff under Luis Quinonez. The mare stalked the pace set by Lesley Be Judged who made the quarter-mile in :23.52 and then a half-mile in :47.84. At that point in the backstretch, Quinonez let She’s All In go and she made the race her spotlight event once again.
She’s All In had the advantage before the end of the final turn, handling six furlongs in 1:12.31, the mile in 1:37.01 and then crossing the finish in 1:41.13. Okie Blonde gained second with Lady Jensen along for third.
The heavy 1-9 wagering favorite, She’s All In paid $2.20 to win, $2.10 to place and $2.10 to show. Okie Blonde returned $4.60 to place and $3 to show. Lady Jensen paid $2.40 to show.
The Distaff is the 14th career victory for She’s All In and the ninth score at Remington Park. A mare by Include from the Hickory Ridge mare Georgia OK, She’s All In was bred in Oklahoma by her owner. The winner’s share of $77,340 now gives She’s All In $766,605, approaching the hallowed million-dollar mark now with every effort.
The Distaff win was the third in a row for She’s All In and the fourth consecutive for her owner and breeder Zoellner. His Peach Brew won the Distaff in 2009 before She’s All In took the baton.
She’s All In provided Donnie Von Hemel his Oklahoma Classics all-time leading 21st win and his fourth overall Distaff. Quinonez posted his 10th Oklahoma Classics win in the Distaff.

She’s All In was the most dominant winner on the $1 million Oklahoma Classics card at Remington Park on Friday night, when she drew clear by seven lengths in the $145,000 Distaff. It was her third consecutive win in the race, and with the victory she pushed her career earnings past $750,000.

The Classics program, which featured eight divisional stakes for horses bred in Oklahoma, has been run for 20 years and it ranks as one of the richest cards of the meet.

She’s All In ($2.20) tracked the pace in second for the first half-mile of the Distaff, then overtook leader Lesley Be Judged through six furlongs in 1:12.31. The eventual winner skipped home from there, covering one mile and 70 yards on a fast track in 1:41.13. It was the 14th win from 29 starts for She’s All In, who now has earnings of $766,605. Earlier this year, She’s All In won the Grade 3 Sixty Sails at Hawthorne.

“Everybody deserves one horse like this in their lifetime,” said Robert Zoellner, who bred and owns She’s All In.

Donnie Von Hemel trains She’s All In, who was ridden to victory by Luis Quinonez. Zoellner, Von Hemel and Quinonez also teamed to win the $130,000 Distaff Turf with Soonerette ($3.20), who wired the field for a length and a quarter score over Skedee.

* In the $175,000 Classics Cup for 3-year-olds and up bred in Oklahoma, recent claim Fifth Date ran down Imahit for a 2 1/2-length win. Imahit finished three lengths clear of third-place finisher Ted’s Folly. The race was the richest on the card Friday.

“This is like a state championship to me,” said winning owner Danny Caldwell. Fifth Date ($42.20), who was an $18,000 claim on Aug. 25, was content to stalk the pace through six furlongs in 1:11.53, then went after Imahit in the stretch. Fifth Date went on to cover the mile and a sixteenth in 1:43.63.

“Normally he’s a horse that goes to the lead, but Danny said in the paddock to try to get him back today and I thought it was a good idea,” said winning rider Alex Birzer. “He settled in nice.”

Fifth Date came into the Classics Cup off a second-place finish to Brethren in a $50,000 optional claiming allowance at Remington Park on Sept. 28. He is an 8-year-old gelding who has now won 15 of 59 starts and $431,740. He is trained by Federico Villafranco.

In other stakes on the card:

* Motivare paid $42.40 when she rallied from next to last to win the $100,000 Lassie. She won by 3 3/4 lengths over Shez Tuned Up and Sockie Bomb, who dead-heated for second. Glen Murphy rode Motivare for Phil Hoedebeck Jr. and Pat Sheetz and trainer Brent Davidson.

* In the $100,000 Juvenile, Jump and Go ($11.20) overtook favorite Shirley Elizabeth for a 3 1/2-length win, covering six furlongs in 1:10.56. Shane Laviolette was aboard for Beverly J. Lewis and trainer Don Von Hemel.

* Okie Ride ($2.40) pushed past pacesetter Conkigo and went on to a 2 3/4-length win in the $130,000 Sprint. Quinonez was aboard in what was his first of three stakes wins on the card. Kenneth Nolen trains Okie Ride for Richter Family Trust.

* Miss Natalie ($10.80) rallied for a head win over Flatterific in the $130,000 Distaff Sprint. Cliff Berry rode the winner for Gar Oil Corp., and trainer Joe Offolter.

* Ridge Road ($18.60) delivered as a supplement to the $130,000 Turf, when he rallied for a 1 3/4-length win over Okietate. Lindey Wade was aboard for owner-trainer Boyd Caster.

OKLAHOMA CITY – The 2012 Remington Park Season opened on a pleasant Friday for early August in Oklahoma City. Those in attendance witnessed a great stretch run in the featured $44,500 Redbud Distaff allowance as graded stakes winner She’s All In battled for a neck victory over longshot Guanabara Gal.

Owned by Robert Zoellner of Tulsa, Okla. and trained by Donnie Von Hemel, She’s All In made her move for the front around the final turn of the 7-1/2 furlong turf event. Jockey Luis Quinonez had the 5-year-old Oklahoma-bred mare in position at the top of the lane but Guanabara Gal had other ideas.

Under Benny Landeros, Guanabara Gal had taken control of the race before leaving the backstretch. When challenged in the final furlong by 3-5 wagering favorite She’s All In, Guanabara Gal dug in to hold her position. The game effort was not enough as She’s All In had a little more, getting up in the final strides while crossing the finish in 1:30.20 over a firm turf course.

She’s All In paid $3.40 to win, $2.40 to place and $2.20 to show. Guanabara Gal returned $12.60 to place and $5.80 to show. Patty’s Pride was third and paid $4.40 to show.

The victory for She’s All In was her 12th from 26 career starts and her seventh in just nine attempts at Remington Park. A mare by Include from the Hickory Ridge mare Georgia OK, She’s All In has been the top Oklahoma-bred female in racing for the past two years, winning multiple stakes races in open company as well as scoring in her home state. She cruised to an easy win in the Grade 3, $200,000 Sixty Sails Handicap at Hawthorne Racecourse in Chicago in April. The winner’s share on Friday night, $28,245, moved her career earnings to $640,867.

A pair of stakes races will head the program for the second night of the season on Saturday, Aug. 11 as the $200,000 Governor’s Cup and the $100,000 David M. Vance Stakes are contested. Remington Park’s first race on Saturday is at 6:30pm.

Open daily at 10am for casino gaming and simulcast racing, Remington Park features the Bricktown Brewery on the casino floor. Admission, general parking and valet parking are always free at Remington Park.

Remington Park, with over 18,000 fans on Facebook and 3,000 Twitter followers, is Oklahoma City’s only Racetrack & Casino and is located at the junction of Interstates 35 & 44, in the heart of the Oklahoma City Adventure District.
The answer was instantaneous when trainer Donnie Von Hemel was asked if Saturday’s Grade III $200,000 Sixty Sails Handicap was the best race of She’s All In’s 23-race career.

“Without a doubt.”

She’s All In made her five opponents in the Chicago circuit’s biggest main track race for fillies and mares look like hobby horses when she surged early in the Hawthorne Race Course stretch and went on to win by a widening 8¾ lengths.

“She had given some indications she’d be a nice 5-year-old, and getting to run the mile and an eighth was a big key,” Von Hemel said.

Fourth choice in the betting at odds of 5.40-1, She’s All In went the distance in 1:51.79 in taking Von Hemel and owner-breeder Robert Zoellner to the winner’s circle for the 11th time. After winning her last four races in 2011, she had two thirds and then a second in her first three starts this year at Oaklawn Park.

“Donnie said all along a mile and an eighth would be better for her and she had an awesome workout before she left Oaklawn (a 5-furlong breeze in 1:00.40 on April 14),” jockey Luis Quinonez said.

Love and Pride built a big lead during the opening half-mile and offered brief resistance when She’s All In bore down on her in the upper stretch, then faded to fourth.

Distorted Love, the longest shot at 35-1, came from last to earn second money, finishing 2¼ lengths in front of 6-5 favorite Arena Elvira, who arrived with a five-race winning streak that included two graded stakes.

“She ran evenly but never picked it up,” jockey Jose Lezcano said.
